Colleague, Resident Choreographer, MFA Program, American Conservatory Theater, San Francisco

I write this to all of Kevin Jackson’s family, friends and colleagues: Sending loving thoughts to you and to the memory of dear Kevin – I write in deepest sympathy at his passing and sympathize with your loss.

Kevin was a colleague and friend of mine at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. He was a great colleague and supportive friend. Although I was not that close to Kevin personally, I am moved to write you about him and my good experiences. I was the resident choreographer and core faculty at A.C.T.

The atmosphere there could sometimes be quite challenging but Kevin didn’t care. He stood up for what was the right thing to do and he stood up for the theater and for the art.

As I worked with him on numerous productions, he often encouraged me and my work and was always very supportive. I am in great appreciation to him for this and feel a great sense of gratitude that he was there. He was an inspiration on all fronts and a very funny person who could make you laugh.

I send you this note in absolute loving and kindness. To celebrate Kevin in a very deep and loving way and to offer my deep condolences to all. I send love and light to you all and to Kevin as he journeys back home, in grace, back to the heart of God.

Blessings,
Francine Landes
